Thesis: Negative Attitude

The second priority was deemed his negative attitude. The conditions under which Mr. Tsindos is in can destroy any spirited and jovial heart. First, as his heart is failing he is not in any position to do those things that used to give him a lot of joy previously. He is thus confined to a hospital bed, and before that, he could not even walk the few steps he needed to in order to reach his bed. Thus, his attitude is understandable.

However, a positive outlook is the first step to regaining ones health. Research shows that someone with a positive manner has a higher chance of surviving a life threatening illness than one who does not (Frederickson, 2001).  Research also shows that a negative attitude that is translated into stress actually does cause illness in an otherwise healthy person (Jones, 2003; Kivimaki, 2002).
