But modern day life has literally made the American Dream into nothing more than just a dream. The perfection and peace that the American Dream asks for cannot possibly be achieved in real life. The modern day form of America has become too fast and too rapid in its evolution to allow Americans a chance to rest.

This is because too much attention is being given to the pursuit of happiness and very little attention is being given to enjoying life the way it comes. As a result, the American Dream has become an element that is now used for marketing and promotion purposes in order to entice Americans into making purchases of products and services.
