With regard to the discussion presented above, we can justly infer that the American Dream is very real in its true form but its achievement is impossible since it calls for degrees and scopes of perfection that are beyond the possibilities of real life. A justification can be found in the fact that the recent economic recession has served to greatly increase unemployment (Tran).
This is only one example of the many reasons because of which is has become impossible to achieve the American Dream. In addition, the exaggerated pursuit of the American Dream only serves to cause distress since people tend to find shortcuts through which they can kick start their lives into the American Dream and can instantly enjoy all the comforts of life that they desire. In their attempts to do so, individuals tend to violate the very ideologies that form the foundations of the American Dream.
