Sample Thesis Paper
However, there have also been theories that have stood for the approach that Rome has never fallen, and that the fall of Rome was not a sudden occurrence but was an ongoing process that had been going on for nearly a century. A host of theories have come forth to explain the fall of the Roman Republic, but a majority of those theories continues to center on the one aspect that also comes out as an uncanny similarity amongst all of them. Theories such as these argue that Rome has been in a constant state of adaption and it is therefore wrong to consider Rome to have fallen. However, the fact remains that the Roman Republic indeed did fall and one cannot deny the fact that weaknesses began to take root in the Roman Republic to extents where the fall of the Roman Republic became inevitable in the face of oncoming challenges and opponents. In light of the above discussion, we can conclude that the hypothesis taken for the paper indeed does hold true and that the downfall of Rome was a result of the instabilities that it had incorporated in its social and political infrastructure as a result of the use of power in a manner that was highly unsuitable for an republic such as the Roman Republic (Cleve, 2004).
