The non-Christians are not necessarily sinners. As a result, they may be saved through their own religious practices. The Christians believe that salvation is through Jesus Christ and, therefore, non-Christians should be helped by missionaries to get saved, and go to heaven. Religious believers can be saved if they totally believe and practice all they are taught in their belief just as argued by St.
Thomas Aquinas that “implicit faith can save people even before the coming of Christ” (See Avery Cardinal Dulles, 1994, 192). It, therefore, follows that missionaries should be sent to the non-Christians who do not implicitly practice their faith. The missionaries are also extremely relevant to reveal their teachings on Heaven and salvation that is “founded on what we believe God has manifested to us” (ibid, 193).
