Thesis: Dimensions of Leadership in Singapore

Sample Thesis Paper

Globalization has changed the managerial phenomenon of Singapore and middle managers are trained in foreign countries and that is the reason why they are implementing new and modernized approaches of leadership in Singapore. The leadership of Singapore is evaluated through different dimensions of leadership and these dimensions are evaluated below:
1. Charismatic leadership
In terms of Singapore, it is evident that charismatic leadership has had more than profound implications upon the country (Phipps, 1993). The implications of charismatic leadership seem to be the most profound in the area of political transformation since one of the few icons of personality in Singapore’s case can be found in Singapore’s former Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew  (Diamond, 2008), who has not only played a major role in the political transformation of Singapore but is also regarded as one of the most charismatic leaders across South-East Asia.
Since charismatic leadership is an element that is found to be present across the world, however this element is not immune to variations as it is observed across different countries. Even though Singapore may be ranking at a 5.95 which can be considered to be of sizeable significance, it does not change the fact that there is still a void between Singapore’s charismatic leadership index and the global charismatic leadership trends.
