Though he understood the need and importance of experimental research he also saw the importance of theoretical results. He also understood that these theories should have no exceptions. And that if an experiment served to disprove a theory it did not mean the theory was faulty simply that not all the factors were considered (Galison, Holton, & Schweber, 49, 2008).
