The implementation of effective human resource policies are important for any organisation to keep the employees motivated and dedicated towards providing high quality products and services. The implementation of good human resource policies affects employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction. These policies and procedures include various aspects of an employee’s job such as overall environment, working conditions, job description, and relationship with superiors, growth opportunities and benefits and incentives schemes.
The implementation of good human resource policies increases the profitability of the business over a long period of time. This research outlines and presents the impact of implementing good human resource policies and procedures on levels of employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction. The case study approach to research is applied in this research and the two companies included in the case study are Ford India and Toyota India. The research is mainly based on primary data collected directly through survey questionnaires sent to employees and customers of these companies. The research accepts the research hypothesis that customer satisfaction is derived from quality of products and services which are a result of dedicated, motivated and committed employees who are motivated by implementation of good human resource policies and procedures. The report of this search is divided into 4 chapters which include introduction, literature review, research methodology, findings and observation and conclusions.
