The pro side of the issue has many studies which can relate how pornography can lead to violent fantasies in men however it does not conclusively prove that the inhibition that exists in men to dominate women is removed by this media. Neither does it take into account those women who do enjoy such dominant acts.

What are some of the strengths associated with the Con side of the issue? What are some of the weaknesses?
The con side also provides several studies to disprove the link between pornography and sexual offences. However it does not truly disprove the studies given in the pro side it merely points out that other factors may be responsible.

How credible were the authors of each argument? Explain your answer.
Diane Russell is more persuasive than Nadine Strossen since the studies provided by her show more credibility towards her viewpoint. Nadine Strossen does not present her viewpoint rather argues the one set by Diane Russell quite unsuccessfully.

Based on the statements presented in this critical issue, which author do you agree with? Why?
I agree with Nadine Strossen. Her contention is that with the increasing availability of pornography the incidence of such acts should increase. But since there is no evidence of this, I do not believe such correlation can be proven.
