For the same reason, the strategic analysis of Bestway shall constitute a brief overview, an analysis of macro-environmental influences, a competitive analysis and an analysis of strengths and weaknesses to conclude upon recommendations that the company can bring into use in the future to counter the posed threats and to exploit potential opportunities and prospects.
1) Introduction

Bestway Cash & Carry was established in the early 1960s as a singular Asian food store. Over time, it has now become a rising competitive force for industry rivals such as Costco and Makro. It initiated in the form of food store but later on transformed into a whole sale store in the late 1970s (Corporate Information 2009). Bestway is known for serving over fifty thousand items to independent retailers. Currently, Bestway has approximately fifty stores open in the UK with it’s headquarter in Abbey Road, London. The stores collectively staff approximately one thousand six hundred employees.
